Know The Admission Process

Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the KIMDS is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for Reserved Category) in any discipline recognized by UGC/AICTE.

Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic are eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Appearing candidates, if finally selected at KIMDS, Ranchi must submit graduation mark sheet, confirming that they have secured minimum 50% marks in graduation examination (45% in case of SC/ST candidates).

Thus, anyone fulfilling the above eligibility criteria and desirous of seeking admission at KIMDS, must secure good score in any of the following admission tests:

  • Valid Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIM,
  • Valid Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur
  • Valid (MAT)/CMAT)/(ATMA)
  • Valid KAT (Kejriwal Aptitude Test) Conducted by the Kejriwal Institute of Management, Ranchi.

Total number of seats available in two year full time Post Graduate Diploma Program in Management (PGDM) is ninety (90) each in two batches. Our PGDM offers dual specialization in (Marketing & Finance or Markting & Human Resource Management).

The admission process followed by the Institute is as per the guidelines of AICTE. Interested applicants are required to follow the following steps:

  • Applicants must register themselves at the KIMDS admission application window by entering necessary details in the Application form.
  • The Application Form can be found by clicking the link given below.
  • Applicants can fill up the form online and submit it in the given option. OR The form can be downloaded and filled by the candidate. After filling the form scan it and send to the admission@kimds.ac.in.
  • Online registration for admission in PGDM is free of cost.
  • Based on the above mentioned all India entrance test scores, candidates who have applied for admission to the institute will be shortlisted and will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) at the Campus.
  • Exact dates for personal interview, GDPI will be communicated separately to the shortlisted candidates.
  • Please note that IIMs / XLRI / AICTE or any other agency have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program.
  • Please also note that mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria may not lead to a GDPI call unless the candidate clears the cut-off score in entrance test.
  • After the GDPI round, admission offers are made to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which include:
  • -Past academic record (20%)
  • -Performance in entrance tests (40% )
  • -Performance in Group Discussion (10%)
  • -Performance in Personal Interview (30%)
